Outlines the concept of therapeutic jurisprudence and examines the manner in which the concept has been implemented in three Geraldton Court programmes. Some of the justifications for incorporating therapeutic jurisprudence into legal processes are considered and specific benefits, such as enhancement of perpetrator participation in the rehabilitation process and public satisfaction with the judicial system, are discussed. Concludes that available data on the success of the Geraldton programmes support further exploration of the utility of the concept of therapeutic jurisprudence and the importance of continued funding for the project is emphasised.en
