Notes:  Presented at the 9th Australasian Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect, Many Voices Many Choices, this series of overheads provides an introduction to some of the common myths regarding the relationship between domestic violence and child abuse, the impact that direct and indirect exposure to violence can have on children and the role of ‘front line workers’, such as police, child protection agencies, family courts, teachers and GPs in responding to suspected cases of abuse. The overheads also provide key points for practitioners to guide intervention and prevention strategies and develop these points into a front-line worker response framework.
