dc.description.notes | This UK study looks at the perceptions that violent fathers have about their relationships with their children. Twenty fathers who separated or divorced from their partners and were attending perpetrator programmes volunteered to participate in the research. A separate sample of ten mothers of children who maintained post-separation contact with their fathers also provided information of their ex-partner’s fathering practices. The information was limited to the period of time when the children were still living with their fathers. The fathers were also interviewed about their experiences, about post-separation contact, their conception of child abuse and whether they considered these relationships as abusive. | en |
