The Commission was created in 1996 to guard and promote the wellbeing, needs and rights of people aged between 0 and 18 years. Special attention has been drawn to family environment, since it is generally accepted that children’s development is affected by their early experiences. The Fathering project is also concerned with masculinity perceptions and the repercussions of domestic and family violence incidents on children.
