In this response to the consultation on reform options released by the NSW Legislative Council Select Committee on the Partial Defence of Provocation in September 2012 the NSW Domestic Violence Committee Coalition sets out its position on three proposed options for reform of the partial defence of provocation. While recommending that reform of the provocation defence would best be undertaken as part of a wider enquiry into homicide law, the submission identifies the 'exclusionary conduct' model as the coalition's preferred approach.en
