dc.description.notesOverview: This report, compiled by the Women's Aid Federation of England (Women's Aid), examines the circumstances surrounding the deaths of 29 children from 13 families in England and Wales between 1994 and 2004, as a result of contact or residence arrangements with their fathers.<br/ ><br/ >This report is based on the executive summaries of Serious Case Reviews conducted in the aftermath of 29 children's deaths. In five of the cases examined, contact with the parent responsible for the death was ordered by the Court. The report poses the following questions:<br/ ><br/ >The report examines the cases in the context of both domestic British law and international law and practice, and provides several recommendations directed at governments, courts and statutory workers. The recommendations are aimed at reducing the number of child homicides perpetrated by known violent parents in England and Wales.en
