Planned areas for action include: mechanism to promote cross sector commitment; consistency and the monitoring of progress; prioritisation of Maori-based approaches; early intervention, prevention and evaluation; processes to monitor and enforce legal sanctions; consistency in relevant law, policy and service delivery; preventing violence in Maori communities; preventing or reducing violence in Pacific communities; policy for self-referred and non-mandated clients; research and evaluation programme; service capacity; enhanced screening and risk assessment; standards or competencies; best practice guidelines; improved access to services; and public education awareness.en
