It includes data on: During the period covered by this report, the Magistrates’ Court (Family Violence) Act 2004:and the Victoria Police Code of Practice into dealing with family violence matters by the police were introduced. The amendments to the legislation and introduction of the Victoria Police Code of Practice resulted in changes in the trends of complaints for an intervention order over the reporting period.
