dc.description.notes | Overview: This report from NSW presents the results of a small study examining the quality and timeliness of appropriate housing provision post crisis and its link to the wellbeing of the women and children.<br/ >Discussion: This was a qualitative study, based on interviews with twelve women who had exited a women’s refuge six months or more prior to the interview. The report discusses the results and responses to the study in detail, and places the results in the context of existing literature and current policy. It found that housing for women and children deteriorated significantly following crisis and separation. Women experienced lengthy and fragmented processes in trying to gain safe and secure accommodation. Recommendations are made for future state and federal government policy. | en |
