Social protection has an essential role to play in contributing to efforts on gender-based violence, for many reasons – from the critical need to mitigate risks of exacerbating GBV in our programmes (as in any other sector); to the needs of survivors for social protection support, including cash transfers, housing and services; to the potential of cash transfer programmes to reduce intimate partner violence.  This resource sheet provides a simple summary of key resources that members of the Social Protection Inter-Agency Cooperation Board Gender Working Group have highlighted, for policy-makers and practitioners working on this set of issues, curated by UNICEF.
