| Abstract: | This study, funded by the Victoria Law Foundation from February 2023 to March 2024, explores the barriers experienced by migrant and refugee women when using online forms to apply for family violence intervention orders (FVIOs). In Australia, protection orders are the most common civil legal response to family violence. One third of the country’s 120,000 annual family violence protection orders are issued in Victoria, suggesting that Victorian victims/survivors are overrepresented in the application process. |
