This article explores the experiences of family violence among Indigenous LGBTIQSB+ youth in New South Wales, Australia. Employing a qualitative thematic analysis of interviews with 16 participants aged 14–25, the research highlights intergenerational and geographical differences in family and community reactions to gender and sexuality diversity. The study positions family violence within an Indigenous framework, moving beyond Western heteronormative perspectives, and reveals the profound impacts on social and emotional wellbeing. Findings underline the necessity of culturally sensitive and inclusive approaches to service provision and further intersectional research into these experiences.en_US
