Developed for the benefit of participants in the U.S. Enhancing Judicial Skills in Domestic Violence Cases Workshop, these materials constitute the workshop agenda, together with information on faculty and staff, an overview of the practical courtroom exercises to be performed in the course of the workshop and a range of other resources designed to further judicial understanding and education in domestic violence. A range of articles relating to perpetrator and victim behaviour, risk factors, child victims of violence, cultural issues and the role of court proceedings were provided to participants, in addition to a series of procedural guidelines and checklists aimed at assisting judges to apply their knowledge in legal practice.
