This fact sheet provides information about the Domestic Violence Provision of Australia’s Migration Program. This provision allows people who are applying for permanent residency in Australia on the basis of a spouse (including de facto spouse) or interdependent relationship to remain eligible for permanent residence if they, or a member of their family, have experienced domestic violence.
