As part of the ‘Freedom from fear : campaign against domestic violence’ advertising agencies submitted preliminary creative concepts for a community education campaign targeted at perpetrators. These were tested against various groups, evaluated for effectiveness, refined and re-tested on a different audience. The successful concepts which were developed into three commercials are described. Qualitative testing was then conducted to further refine the message of the campaign and to confirm support for it.en
