Outlines the core principles and activities of the Responsible Citizenship Program (RCP), an initiative aimed at addressing bullying and victimisation in an ACT primary school and based on a restorative justice model. An overview of recent research and literature on the phenomenon of bullying, methods adopted for addressing it and the various risk factors associated with it is provided and the central features of restorative justice approaches to bullying are highlighted. Findings of an evaluation conducted of the RCP are presented and it is suggested that the positive responses of participants indicate the model is capable of adaptation to other school populations and contexts.
