Notes:	Presents the methodology and results of a study that examined the service satisfaction and outcomes for 81 women in Ohio, USA who were receiving residential/outpatient counselling or case management services from a domestic violence shelter. While a range of positive outcomes were reported, it is noted that little research has been conducted into whether or not service satisfaction and decrease in abuse is associated with subsequent recidivism in perpetrators. The need to examine why women 'drop out' of domestic violence services and strategies for intervention with short-term shelter users is also considered.
