Notes: | This article reports on the findings from an empirical study of national US datasets that attempted to examine whether implementation of alcohol taxes reduced female homicide rates. Findings provide additional evidence that alcohol taxes lead to reduced alcohol consumption which subsequently leads to reduced femicide. However, the results did not show a direct relationship between alcohol taxes and reduced female homicide rates. |
