Notes:  Presents the methodology and results of a US study aimed at identifying specific trauma symptoms and life skill needs of women who had been victims of domestic violence, throughout the various stages of service delivery. Based on the self-reports of women in three domestic violence programmes, the findings indicate homelessness, parenting, post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health problems are significant concerns to women at different points in the service delivery process. It is suggested that personalised assessments of women’s functional priorities may assist in tailoring service responses to the individual needs of victims.
