Notes:  This article summarises the main findings of two national online surveys with adults and children in relation to post-separation parenting. The research forms part of the larger research project looking at family law and family violence in Australia, which was commissioned by the federal Attorney-General in 2009. The study examines the effect that a history or the existence of violence within a relationship had on post-separation parenting arrangements both prior to and following the introduction of the Family Law (Shared Parental Responsibility) Amendment Act 2006:(Cth).
