Notes:  Presents the methodology and findings of an Israeli study aimed at assessing the impact of father-to-mother aggression on the coherency of adolescents’ image structure of their family members and themselves. A review of literature pertaining to childhood exposure to inter-parental violence and the role these experiences play in shaping personal and familial images is also provided. Results suggest a need for greater emphasis on changing the way people perceive relationships and working with parents as part of the intervention process. Limitations of the study and implications for future research are identified.
