Notes:  Overview:This article describes a longitudinal study from Canada which followed 627 adolescents over one year. Participants were required to fill out a questionnaire designed to measure dating aggression in the context of a range of factors:
The authors were able to show that each of these risk factors was predictive of dating aggression and that collectively, the risk was additive. That is, the greater the number of risk factors present, the greater was the overall threat of dating aggression. The results suggest that in future investigations of dating violence, research and intervention strategies would be enhanced by examining multiple risk factors in their various permutations.
