Notes:  This article documents the vulnerability of women who identify as having a disability, to violence and abuse. The paper is based on findings from a research project funded by the Australian Research Council titled ‘Building and supporting community led partnerships responding to family violence in Indigenous communities in Victoria’. The study chose four communities in Victoria to participate in the study, one of whom was an Indigenous community. The findings focus on the need for more tailored service delivery to disabled victims of violence and abuse.
