Notes:  Book review of Stalkers and their Victims:which takes an historical, socio-cultural and clinical perspective on the nature, epidemiology and impact of stalking in modern Western societies. While there is an absence of knowledge and research into the prevalence, incidence and impact of stalking, book proposes that some trends may be ascertained from the existing literature and outlines them. Discusses the devastating and often underestimated impact of stalking on the victim as well as same gender stalking and stalking by proxy and also examines the relationship between stalking and assault. Final chapters look at practical coping strategies for the victims, evaluate stalking legislation in the US, UK and Australia and present a model for clinical assessment and intervention strategies for stalkers.
