Notes:	Victorian Family Violence Database : First Report was released in 2002 and presents an analysis of data collected from Victorian courts, SAAP agencies and Victoria Police, covering the two years 1999-2000 and 2000-2001. The report examines demographic variables such as gender, age, relationship and region and has adult female victims and children as its primary focus. Original funding for the database came from the Partnerships Against Domestic Violence (PADV) and organisations that collaborated in its creation include: the Victorian Community Council Against Violence (VCCAV), Victoria Police, the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria, the National Data Collection Agency, the Victorian Department of Human Services and the family violence sector. This single statewide database will provide a comprehensive picture of family violence in the state, enabling improved policy and programme development in both the government and non-government family violence sectors.
