Notes: | This study explores the educational requirements of rural community-based health workers working with women who are experiencing or have experienced violence. An education package was designed to increase awareness and knowledge on the topic of domestic violence and to promote the development of local projects that address identified needs in the community. Around 60 health workers participated in the eight-week programme, and some of the proposed projects are being implemented. The paper discusses the content of the seven modules that integrate the education package and the evaluation of its effectiveness. |
