Notes:	Outlines the objectives, methodology and results of a study aimed at exploring experiences of women suffering from long-term, biomedically undefined musculoskeletal pain disorders (UMSD), who disclosed intimate abuse. The ways in which such disclosures were made are also investigated. This study from Sweden, together with previous research into women suffering chronic pain disorders, supports the development of more reflective practices in this area and highlights the need for addressing the many barriers to disclosure that women face within the health system. The safety and health of battered women are emphasised as priority areas.
