Notes:  This brief article presents findings from a study in Canada that interviewed 64 women who had experienced intimate partner violence about their experiences with the child protection system. The article includes an overview of women’s initial involvement with and their experiences of services offered by the child protection system. The authors provide a detailed discussion of the problems and challenges in service provision, along with recommendations for child protection services.
