Notes:  This brief article describes the process, learning and recommendations from a review of the Anawim Aboriginal Women’s Service, which delivered refuge and other services to Aboriginal women in Perth, Western Australia with the overall aim of reducing homelessness. Based on a literature review, the article includes key recommendations for an improved and innovative service model. A key finding of consultations and service data analysis was to increase linkages with allied services. The article provides an overview of the initial implementation including successes and challenges related to referrals, linkages and collaboration.
