Notes:  Presents the methodology and results of a US study that attempted to identify prognostic indicators that domestic violence perpetrators will re-offend. Some of the potential benefits of being able to predict violence recidivism are discussed and the need for a tool which can accurately measure the significance of various indicators is emphasised. Unlike previous studies, the research obtained data from the abusive client utilising the Partner Abuse Prognostic Scale (PAPS). Although it is acknowledged that violence prediction is inherently complex, it is argued the results suggest initial support for PAPS.
