Provides a critical response to Tod Augusta-Scott’s paper, ‘Dichotomies in the Power and Control Story’, arguing his portrayal of feminist analysis of masculinity and violence were overly simplistic and lacked a thorough examination of accountability partnerships between women working with victims of violence and perpetrators. Suggests that a less ‘dichotomous’ view of men’s violent behaviour and a more concrete analysis of the contexts within which it occurs would prove a more valuable contribution to working with perpetrators.
