Notes:	Article discusses Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Task Force on Violence report which identifies and analyses violence within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities from both an historical and contemporary context. The various forms of violence are named and ‘dysfunctional community syndrome’ is discussed. The broad areas covered by the report’s recommendations are enumerated and an appeal is made for politicians and public figures to address the report’s concerns.
