Notes:  Article discusses violence against women with disabilities. Research findings show that women with disability experience violence at higher rates, have considerably fewer pathways to safety, tend to be subjected to violence for significantly longer periods of time, experience violence that is more diverse in nature and experience violence at the hands of a greater number of perpetrators. Good practice includes improving service access for women with disabilities; developing service information which is accessible; facilitating collaborative partnerships between domestic and family violence and disability programs; and thinking innovatively and researching interventions that are effective for women with disabilities.
