This article reports on research undertaken in 2001 into access and equity practices undertaken by services against sexual violence in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children, and women and children from ethnic minority communities. The article identifies some ethical dilemmas about ‘who should decide?’, and then presents nine strategies which describe how the services are responding to challenges to increase access and equity.
