Notes: | This article is a response to Briere and Jordan with regard to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and argues for a move beyond PTSD to understand traumatic stress responses of victims in contexts such as intimate partner violence and stalking. It suggests that traditional PTSD framework does not address the context of some forms of violence against women and how this limits appropriate interventions for women. |
