Notes: | Cruz et al. comment on Hegarty et al’s article, “Screening and counselling in the primary care setting for women who have experienced intimate partner violence (WEAVE): a cluster randomised controlled trial” regarding the need for children to be taken into account in any screening procedure conducted in a healthcare setting. Cruz et al. register their concern that Hegarty’s article may be understood by readers to conclude that screening is ineffective and that this would be detrimental to addressing the impact on children exposed to intimate partner violence and also, to treatment of maternal depression. |
