Notes: | This US letter to the editor discusses the increasing prevalence and traumatic effects of dating violence, with a call for prevention strategies to be implemented in a public health forum. The authors highlight the need for a greater variety of contexts to be included in this process. This includes encouraging the development of positive relationships in religious institutions, communities and in the home. Lutwak, Dill and Saliba also focus heavily on opportunities for training to recognise dating violence and responsibilities for action within school and college systems, involving staff, school counsellors and nurses, parent-teacher groups and school boards. |
