Examines the dilemma faced by many agencies providing crisis accommodation to victims of domestic violence, regarding how to support women with multiple issues who have difficulty obtaining permanent accommodation. Argues the major question is whether or not agency policy and funding should be compromised in order to help individuals. Case studies of women from various backgrounds, including an illegal immigrant, a woman with bi-polar disorder and a woman with an intellectual disability, are used to illustrate the complexity of the situation and possible strategies for change are suggested. Advocates for urgent consideration of these and other marginalised groups by governments and the community.
