Keywords: Human rights

Notes:  Journal of the DVRC Inc.
Outlines some of Elizabeth Schneider’s criticisms of domestic violence law reform in the United States and questions whether Australia has experienced a similar shift away from the feminist perspectives upon which campaigns to stop violence against women were founded. Provides several examples supporting the contention that such a shift is occurring and argues the feminist movement can be re-generated through engagement with a human rights discourse. Such engagement would offer new pathways for change and strengthen international solidarity amongst women.
