Notes:	General Overview:This article by the Co-ordinator of the Domestic Violence and Incest Resource Centre reflects on the history of the organisation over the preceding 21 years. Discussion: The author traces the development of the organisation from its beginnings as a project of the women from the Women's Liberation Halfway House with a $50,000 Government grant. Geddes outlines the significant achievements of the DVIRC, describes some of the battles fought, won and lost, and discusses future directions for the Centre. Many people who have assisted with or worked at the DVIRC are named and thanked in the article.
