Recounts one woman’s story of leaving an abusive relationship, her experiences of homelessness, her struggle with mental illness and her fight to obtain safe, affordable housing for herself and her children. Tracy now works as a volunteer for WWDVSN helping other women to do the same. Argues that although domestic violence remains a complex issue with no ‘quick fix’ solution, improving housing resources would give many more women the option of leaving violent relationships and living free from fear.
