Notes:  This US based study examined the effectiveness of an email-based intervention providing social support and referrals by nurses for women and their children after receiving a protection order for intimate partner violence. The study found that email is an effective intervention for providing support and information. Among women, the researchers identified five key issues for support related to safety, working, school, parenting, and health. For children, school work and friends were identified as key areas.
