Notes: | This article presents findings from the first nationally representative survey of violence against women in Germany. Of the women who responded, 17 percent reported physical or sexual violence by a current partner. Additional findings examine risk factors for victims and perpetrators including childhood experiences of violence, substance use, disability or illness, presence of children, social isolation, unemployment, and length of relationship. |
