Report on data collected by the Queensland Centre for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence from October 2003 to February 2004 from more than 23 Queensland services regarding new client matters. Data gathered on a total of 7,465 new client matters were then classified according to: primary service provided, children present in the household, the status of domestic violence orders, and court orders and experience of violence. Statistics are provided to show the relationship between gender and situations arising from the granting of court orders.
