Notes:	Reviews existing research into the nature, prevalence and causes of forced sexual relations amongst young married women in developing countries and examines evidence that perceptions of gender relations and rights to autonomy are beginning to change. Similarities between the sexual experiences of young married women in developing countries are drawn from the literature and a series of recommendations aimed at improving young women’s education and access to legal and other services is made.
