Notes: | This article addresses the difficulties that practitioners meet in responding to children who have been subjected to abuse or family violence. The author argues that there is not enough information related to the effectiveness of the intervention programmes and strategies implemented. Some of the current approaches from Australia, Britain and USA to the children’s experiences of physical abuse or neglect, sexual abuse, and witnessing domestic violence are critiqued. The elements that an appropriate model of service delivery should comprise are suggested. |
