Notes:  This report presents the findings of a comprehensive review of UK-based research examining screening for partner abuse or domestic violence in health settings. Based on this review, the authors concluded that several short screening tools are valid and viable in health settings, the majority of female patients considered screening acceptable, and health provider attitudes about screening varying widely. Additional findings identified gaps in current UK research regarding cost-effectiveness, measures of morbidity and mortality and effectiveness of interventions after identification of domestic violence.
