Notes:  This article presents the qualitative findings from an investigation of the conceptualisation of intimate partner violence (IPV) among immigrant Latinas in the US. Naturalistic inquiry method was used. Eight women participated and were first-generation Mexican immigrants. Findings show that immigrant Latinas were aware of the poor quality of intimate relationships in their community, were knowledgeable abut IPV and understood that IPV is an extensive problem in their community.
