Notes:  Overview:While accepting the importance of adolescent dating violence prevention programs, this US article addresses their shortcomings and uses the authors’ own experiences with the Expect Respect:program to describe how such approaches may be enhanced.

The article stresses the importance of considering the factors of ethnicity, gender, social class, culture, developmental level, and the needs of youth who are particularly at risk for intimate partner violence.
