Notes: | This brief article summarises findings from a US study which examined the effectiveness of preventing child and family drop-out from a therapeutic treatment model for 20 children and adolescents who had experienced trauma. Results indicate that 90% of participants remained in the trauma based approach, while only 10% remained in the care as usual approach. The article includes a brief description of the trauma based approach and its unique attributes. |
